What was the customer's business challenge?
MPL is a company that delivers security solutions for industrial estates. They are offering risk management and alarm monitoring services for businesses on these estates and are looking into extending their business model towards the residential market.
Not only will they deliver their security solutions and their alarm monitoring services, but they will also provide consultancy services to help prevent burglary and give general advise about other security and safety issues in the home.
For the residential market they are looking into deploying a wireless alarm panel that communicates with sensors. The alarm panel will work with DSL, wireless (GPRS/UMTS) or a combination of both. To make sure the wireless solution works flawlessly, MPL turned to KPN for an M2M solution.
