What was the customer's business challenge?

IEM is a company that is fully focussed on telemedicine solutions. Examples of products they are delivering to the market are the mobile ECG and mobile blood-pressure meters. The products they were developing are mainly equipped with fixed connectivity. With the solution IEM is enabling hospitals to send their patients home earlier by giving doctors the possibility to monitor their patients remotely helping in saving costs for healthcare in general.

IEM offers different solutions to the market and was therefore looking for a connectivity partner that could give them flexibility in pricing models, solution design and SIM card offering. As IEM is operating internationally they were also looking for predictable international pricing.

How did the customer and KPN solve this challenge?

Together with IEM KPN started to look into the best possible business model for the two of them. KPN offered IEM a flexible rate plan structure with different rate plan per solution. Apart from that the KPN Control Center provided IEM with alerts and business rules that signals over usage of data helping IEM in preventing fraud.

KPN's approach in building their business case together with the customer gave the customer the trust that KPN was the right partner for them.
