KPN closes acquisition of debitel NL

KPN announces that it has closed the acquisition of debitel’s Dutch operations. The transaction was announced on 23 October 2008. In 2007, debitel Nederland had net sales of approximately EUR 247 million. The company has approximately 130 FTE.
Following the acquisition of Telfort in 2005, this acquisition is a further step in KPN’s strategy of strengthening its position in the Dutch mobile market.
The completion of the acquisition is approved by the Dutch competition authority, NMa.
