What are KPN ADRs?

ADR stands for American Depository Receipt. An ADR is a receipt for the shares of a foreign-based corporation held in custody at a US bank, entitling the shareholder to all dividends and capital gains. KPN has an ADR programme with JP Morgan Chase Bank, N.A. as its depository bank.

Does KPN have an environmental policy?

Yes, it does.

The KPN Board of Management considers it important to give the environment a higher profile within KPN’s overall policy. The company achieved a number of important results in that regard in 2001.

KPN set up a waste disposal project providing for a reduction of more than 10% over two years through the better separation of paper from other types of waste. The company also published its first Environmental Report in 2001. The report (available only on this website) contains details of all relevant environmental goals at KPN and of the progress made over the past two years towards their attainment.

Another important development was that Netwerk Bouw, the KPN group company that installs cable infrastructures, was awarded the ISO 14001 certificate for its compliance with environmental standards.

Other ongoing environmental activities at KPN include:
demonstration of the company’s compliance with environmental laws and regulations and reporting on the fulfilment of voluntary agreements;
preparation and execution of energy efficiency business cases.
