InternetPlusBellen – internet and telephone in one package, without a separate telephone subscription – has become immensely popular in the short time since its introduction. At the moment, KPN is receiving as many as 20,000 orders a week.

KPN and T-Mobile have reached agreement on the transfer of part of Telfort’s GSM-spectrum to T-Mobile Netherlands as per September 1, 2007. This involves 5MHz of spectrum in the 900MHz band. Financial details will not be disclosed.

Libor Voncina (43) has today been appointed as the new CEO of KPN’s Belgian mobile unit BASE. Voncina joins BASE from Telekom Slovenija and will be responsible for the day-to-day business of BASE in Belgium and the continued implementation of the BASE challenger strategy on the Belgian market.

KPN has successfully concluded a tender offer for its outstanding EUR 1.5 billion 4.75% Notes due November 2008, with an aggregate amount of EUR 732 million. In addition, KPN has priced a new EUR 1 billion Eurobond with a 10 year maturity and a coupon of 4.75%.

In order to lengthen its debt maturity profile, KPN today launches a tender offer for its outstanding EUR 1.5 billion 4.75% Notes due November 2008 for an amount up to EUR 750 million. The tender offer will be financed by a new benchmark Eurobond to be issued under its Global Medium Term Note Programme.

KPN is pleased to hear that the NMa, the Dutch Competition Authority, has approved the acquisition by KPN of Nozema Services. KPN and NMa have reached agreement on the operation and running, as well as eventual sale, of a number of transmission towers.

KPN announces its intention to issue a benchmark Eurobond under its Global Medium Term Note programme. The proceeds of the bond will be used to refinance bonds maturing in April and July 2006 (approximately EUR 850 million) and for general corporate purposes.

After a successful regional pilot in December, KPN’s new consumer VoIP product InternetPlusBellen goes national today. In the coming weeks, the rollout will be stepped up significantly. By the end of January, 50,000 customers had signed up for InternetPlusBellen.

KPN will take over Dutch internet and business service provider Attingo. Attingo is the only provider of public internet and business communication services at Amsterdam's Schiphol airport.
