The KPN Sustainability Report 2010 is based on the guidelines stated in the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), an international organization which sets global standards for sustainability reports. The Sustainability Report 2010 was audited and approved by an independent external party, KPMG Sustainability.

In 2011, KPN was awarded De Kristal, the prize for the most transparent Dutch sustainability report. KPN emerged top of the Transparency Benchmark Survey 2010 conducted by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture & Innovation. This survey provides insight into the way in which Dutch companies report about the activities they undertake in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility.
