Pioneering role in The New Way of Living and Working

As a member of the board of ECP-EPN, the Platform for the Information Society, we promote The New Way of Living and Working. This is a platform on which government, businesses and social organizations exchange knowledge and work together to promote the development of the information society in the Netherlands.

If in 2015 20 per cent of the Dutch working population were to work from home two days per week, the annual benefit would be almost EUR 3 billion. The key reason for this is that 180,000 cars get taken off the road every working day: less mileage traveled, less pollution and a fall in the costs of office space.
