KPN and the World Wildlife Fund

In 2011 we partnered with the World Wildlife Fund and joined the Climate Savers Program to lessen our impact on the climate. We thereby underlined both our ambition to operate climate neutrally in 2020 and the energy savings we have achieved up to now.
The Climate Savers Program is an international leadership program for companies, designed to show that economic growth and a significant reduction of CO2 emissions can go hand in hand. By reducing their ecological footprint, these leading companies can prove that they are key players in the transition to a completely sustainable energy supply program.

KPN and the World Wildlife Fund made firm commitments. KPN will realize as a partner of the WWF Climate Savers Program a substantial reduction of CO2 emissions. By switching to 100% green electricity. By considerable in-house energy savings and with our customers. And by a reduction of 95 million travel kilometers per year by working at home, teleconferencing and other ways of The New Way of Working.

KPN also encourages electronic billing. In 2012 KPN requested customers who still receive paper invoices to switch to digital ones. That's easier for customers and saves costs, paper and energy. For every customer that accepts this offer, KPN donates € 1,- to the World Wildlife Fund to support the project Atlantic Forest.
