Eric Hageman appointed to KPN’s Board of Management

Today, the Supervisory Board of Royal KPN N.V. (“KPN”) has formally appointed Mr. Eric Hageman to the company’s Board of Management in the position of CFO.

Shareholders were informed during an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (“EGM”) in The Hague, which was held today 11 September 2012.

Eric Hageman (42) joined KPN in 2005. He has held various management positions and made a key contribution to developing the 2011-2015 Strategy. Since January 2012, Mr. Hageman has been acting as full-time interim CFO.

Jos Streppel, Chairman of the Supervisory Board: “Eric’s combination of substantial financial markets expertise and operational experience as CEO of KPN Group Belgium is of great value to KPN. His appointment as CFO represents continuity in KPN’s financial policy which is aimed at creating value for shareholders and other stakeholders. Continuity is also important in achieving the goals set in KPN’s “Strengthen, Simplify and Grow” strategy.

Besides the appointment of Mr. Hageman, the EGM approved the proposed amendment to the Articles of Association.
