Royal KPN N.V. Board of Management member and CEO of Mobile International Stan Miller will leave the company on February 1st, 2010, to pursue new opportunities.
Mr Miller joined KPN in 1998, and has held various positions in KPN’s mobile activities. In May 2005 he was appointed CEO of KPN Mobile International, responsible for KPN’s activities in Belgium and Germany. The KPN Supervisory Board regrets his departure and is grateful for his achievements, especially for delivering strong profitable growth in Germany and Belgium in the last five years.
Mr Miller will receive a consideration amounting to €2.25 mn made up of two years base salary and additional items such as pension and healthcare contributions. Mr Miller’s Long Term Incentive (LTI) 2007 and Short Term Incentive (STI) 2009 will be paid pursuant to his contract of employment.
The departure of Mr Miller has led to a change in responsibilities within the KPN Board of Management.
Eelco Blok assumes responsibility for KPN’s international operations, comprising Mobile International, as well as iBasis, wholesale carrier of international voice traffic.
Baptiest Coopmans will run the whole of KPN’s Dutch Telco activities, covering the consumer, business and wholesale markets and operations for wireline, wireless and television services.
In view of their increased responsibilities, Mr Blok and Mr Coopmans will receive a revised remuneration within the framework of KPN’s remuneration policy (see table in annex).
Getronics, which provides workspace and ICT services, will report to CEO Ad Scheepbouwer and Carla Smits-Nusteling completes the Board of Management as CFO.
The Board of Management has asked Mr Marco Visser (47), currently director of consumer mobile, to take responsibility for the consumer segment as managing director. He will report to Baptiest Coopmans.
