KPN is the largest IT service provider in Benelux. Corporate Market is responsible within KPN for all the IT services for the wholesale market.

Operations

KPN helps businesses ranging from small businesses to major multi-nationals with end-to-end IT solutions. KPN facilitates fast, safe access to information that is free of the constraints of time and place. KPN invests in technology to upgrade capacity and speed on the mobile internet. KPN deploys personal account managers to advise businesses about the options it offers. They ensure the secure, seamless integration of speech, data, fixed and mobile services. With applications in health care, education and safety KPN products and services are also of benefit to society.

Vision

Reliability and taking care of the customer's concerns are key issues in the business market. Here too, customer focus is crucial if KPN is to become the preferred supplier in the market. We wish to reinforce our leading position in three areas within the business segment: Infrastructure, Application Management and Outsourcing. We offer more advanced services and will consequently move up the value chain towards managed IT services. Within Infrastructure we are building on our position as leader. Mobile speech and data traffic is growing. There is further migration to IP-supported services and this includes the trend to Fiber to the Office.

Growth is also within reach in Application Management. That growth could, for instance, come from standardized online IT applications such as software online and from pursuing increases in housing & hosting services. Migration to All-IP has facilitated a major simplification in our offerings targeted at the business market. This migration has led to major cost savings. Getronics gives us a strong base for outsourcing. The Getronics integration has now been completed and we know precisely where our opportunities for adding value for customers of both companies are to be found.

Getronics has been part of KPN since 23 October 2007. KPN is the #1 telecommunications service provider in the Netherlands. The merger that has now brought Getronics and KPN's IT operations under one roof has confirmed the company's position as the #1 service provider in the Benelux. Within KPN Getronics is the label for all IT services serving the major corporate user. The takeover has given Getronics greater muscle, stability and capacity for innovation. The combination allows Getronics further to build and extend its position in the world as IT services market leader.

Operations

Wholesale & Operations (W&O) is responsible for KPN's operational activities, for the Dutch networks (both fixed and mobile) and for KPN's wholesale customers and portfolio in the Netherlands. This segment is responsible for connecting customers to the KPN's services and products, varying from broadband internet and TV to telephony - fixed, mobile or Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). In the national wholesale market KPN provides access to other telephony operators, service providers and resellers. On the international market KPN provides global wholesale voice and data services. Within Operations, KPN Real Estate is responsible for the management and sale of KPN's real estate holdings in the Netherlands.

Vision

As with the consumer and business markets we also forecast growth in Wholesale in the coming years. In addition to providing technical benefits, the proactive migration to All-IP will enable a radical simplification in IT and in operational processes and so lead to further reductions in cost and manpower. Fiber is the basis for an open network enabling further increases in data traffic over the next decade. This means that other service providers will be able to supply their services alongside KPN. KPN takes the view that, together with its competing service providers, it will be in a position to offer the complete package of basic services at market rates across its fiber infrastructure. Our confidence in our strength as a service provider allows us to do this. Collaboration with existing and new wholesale partners using the new state-of-the-art IP platform is an important component in the growth strategy we are targeting. We are already well ahead in terms of offering voice, data and mobile telephone services to multinationals and, following the iBasis merger, we have achieved a global position. We want to build on this position further in the coming years. These steps are designed to ensure that ultimately we hit our target of achieving best in class network operator status.
