New online tools give multinational customers even more ways to control total cost of ownership.
Services and options include one bill for all countries, usage analysis, SLA reporting, split billing, split reporting and bank / payroll collections.
The Hague, February 11th 2008 - Sympac, KPN’s European mobile service provider, has joined forces with Ezwim, a leading Software-as-a-Service provider, to introduce a new Telecom Expense Management service that gives multinational companies unrivalled insight into their costs – and enables them to take control of their telecom spending like never before.
The move is an exciting development for multinational companies that are determined to squeeze maximum value from their European mobile communications. And with research having found that over 50% of enterprises don’t know what they spend on mobile communications – yet more than 40% know it will be more in the future – there are plenty of savings to be made.
Transparent international reporting and total cost of ownership are key aspects of Sympac’s service and the new Telecom Expense Management takes these to an even higher level. An integral part of Sympac’s proven online Webservices, the new service includes a number of standout features that will give Sympac customers an even deeper insight into what they spend on mobile communications. Key features include:
• One bill in one format, available online, any time, any where
• Advanced measurement and management information on usage analysis (trend reporting, user reporting)
• Cost allocation per subsidiary, cost centre, and more sublevels
• Service Level Agreement reporting
• Fleet management services for improved auditability of all included assets
• End-user access to promote cost awareness
• Split billing according to private and business use
• Bank/payroll collections for private use
Particularly exciting are the split-billing and bank and/or payroll collection possibilities. With split billing, Sympac can divide mobile usage into business and private usage according to the telecom manager’s, or even the end-user’s, criteria. Sympac can separate business and private calls, and even ensure that the business and personal elements are billed and paid accordingly, via a third party.
The Telecom Expense Management service offers a number of other benefits as well, including:
• Significantly reducing the cost of processing expense claims (employee and administrator time)
• Making it easier for users to allocate calls as private or business, so increasing productivity
• Improving management control by making corporate policies easier to enforce centrally and automatically
“The basic problem facing multinationals is that it can be hard for them to understand and manage their total cost of mobile communications,” said Niek de Jong, Marketing Director of Sympac. “This is why we place so much emphasis not just on tariffs and eliminating hassle, but also on reporting and management tools. Our Telecom Expense Management service is excellent in this regard and offers our customers new opportunities to further reduce their total cost of ownership.”
“Ezwim’s reporting tools are the most advanced there are,” said Ron van Valkengoed, CEO of Ezwim. “More and more multinationals are seeing the benefits of consolidation and centralisation, and the Ezwim tools were developed to provide them with a truly global service. It addresses their need to reduce TCO with new reporting and management tools, self-service and simplified fiscal compliance. We are very proud of our relationship with Sympac. Our Software-as-a-Service model enables easy integration and allows us to offer Sympac’s customers the best service in terms of functionality, performance and TCO.”
