Amsterdam, Netherlands and Waterloo, Canada, June 25 2007 – KPN and Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM) today introduce the BlackBerry® Curve™ smartphone in The Netherlands.
The new BlackBerry Curve is the smallest and lightest BlackBerry smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard. Along with a range of powerful multimedia features, it offers advanced and easy-to-use wireless functionality, including support for phone, email, text messaging, web, organiser and other mobile applications.
For mobile users who want an all-in-one smartphone, allowing them to effectively manage both their personal and professional lives, the BlackBerry Curve offers an ideal combination of business and consumer-friendly capabilities in a stylish and sleek design.
Mobile professionals on the move will enjoy the benefits of RIM's acclaimed trackball navigation system, a full QWERTY keyboard and a large ultra-bright, light sensing, 320x240 display for intuitive navigation and easy viewing of web sites, email attachments, videos and images.
The BlackBerry Curve comes with a 2 megapixel digital camera, complete with 5x digital zoom, built-in flash, self-portrait mirror and full screen viewfinder. Furthermore, its extended multimedia capabilities are supported by new BlackBerry® Desktop Manager software incorporating the Roxio® Media Manager for BlackBerry®, which includes optimised photo editing features with the Roxio Photosuite® 9 LE. Mobile users can also increase the storage of media and other files, via the smartphone’s microSD card slot.

The BlackBerry Curve smartphone is now available on the KPN network at the price of 25.17 euros (tax excluded) with a new 2 year voice and data contract. Alternatively it will cost 352 euros (tax excluded) without subscription.
